GOOD SIDES OF "FAILURE" --- How Failure Can Help You Grow

Failure is such a negative word that it seems strange to suggest that it can be a good thing. How many times have you looked back on your life, thought of mistakes you’ve made, and kicked yourself over them? I know I sure have. I have had many failures in my life. I have lost a job or opportunities; I have mismanaged my money; and I have had trouble in relationships. But my sole decision always is that…life goes on as it should.

Many people allow failure to hold them back, when in reality failure can be a good thing! Fear of failure prevents many people from following their dreams or having a go at something new. Fear of failing is failure in itself because it holds back so many would-be success stories.

History has shown that the most successful exploits frequently came on the back of failure. Just think of Winston Churchill. He failed the sixth grade and was defeated in every single election for public office until he became Prime Minister at the young age of 62. Albert Einstein did not speak until he was four years old, and couldn’t read until he was seven. His parents thought he was “sub-normal.” He was expelled from school and his teachers described him as “mentally slow, unsociable and adrip forever in foolish dreams.” But nowadays, many of us still climb on his shoulders of invention. What I am trying to tell you is that Failure is actually on our side. Failing allows us to grow, learn, and find new opportunities.

Here are some points to show you those good sides of failure:-

#Failure portrays that you have courage

Even though you didn’t get the results you wanted, at least you were trying to do something. So many people let the fear of failure prevent them from reaching for their dreams. So don’t be worried about a failure – at least you had the courage to have a go. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is feeling the fear and taking action anyway. When you have a go, despite the possibility of failure, you show that you have great courage.

#Failure makes you stronger

When you don’t get the result you want, you can become more determined to succeed. At first you probably feel discouraged, frustrated or upset but these feelings don’t last forever. You then get a burst of determination and strength of purpose to try again and again. Failure makes you more focused on a successful outcome next time.

#Failure helps you to learn

Let’s take Thomas Edison for example, when he was being embarassed with a question why he failed hundreds of times before he was able to create a light bulb, but his answer to the question was that he hadn’t failed, he had just found hundreds of ways that it didn’t work. This is the mentality of geniuses and successful people. Failure to get the results you wanted is not a negative thing; it is simply an opportunity to try a different method. It is also the opportunity to start again. Meditate well on this!

#Failure helps you grow

When your efforts don’t work out, you have to reach deep inside to find the strength to try again. To solve the problem and make sure you get the desired result, you need to extend yourself, and so you grow. You need to stretch and possibly move outside your comfort zone. After experiencing failure, you will never be the same as you were before you tried. You don’t know how far you can go until you have tried and failed.

#Failure creates new opportunities

Many people believe that everything happens for a reason, we just don’t know what it is at the time. Failures often bring unforeseen opportunities that would not have been available without the failure in the first place. You often need to close one door so that another door of opportunity can be opened for you. Failure is a way of one door closing. Failure is seldom the end; it is often a bright beginning.

#Failure provides answers

If you don’t try and fail, you will never know if your idea or method is going to work. You spend time worrying that you don’t have the answer; you wonder whether it would have worked. The pain of regret is far worse than the pain of failure. When you fail, you can start again; with regret, you will never know.

#Failure gives you the best chance of success

Research out of Stanford University has shown that those who are the top of their field are the ones who have failed the most. Having to persevere to learn a new skill gives you the advantage over someone who gets it right first time. Learning many ways how not to do it gives you the edge over the person who hasn’t have that experience.

So, my Friend, don’t view failure as bad luck, instead look at each attempt to reach your goals as a triumph. There’s always something to learn, ways to grow, different viewpoints to see, and new opportunities waiting just around the corner. So get in and have a go. Fail fast and recover quickly to try again. Use every failure as an opportunity to learn and to grow as a person. Remember that every failure is like one step on the stairway to success. Above all else, remember this: If you never fail, you will never succeed.

REASONS WHY YOU MUST NOT COMMIT SUICIDE - How To Deal With Suicidal Thoughts!!!

Going through a lot of harsh life situations and it all seem to be the end of the road?

Day by day you are experiencing a life situation with devastating consequences – to the extent that you can't even consider the possibility that the situation may change, or that it may become more bearable in time?

Have you tried therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, and they still cannot help to reduce suicidal thoughts, remove depression and strengthen coping skills?

You always feel like hearing voices telling you to kill yourself – perhaps the voices telling you that you are a bad person or that you do not deserve to live – and you still find it hard to consider that the voices simply are wrong? Similarly, you are feeling worthless, hopeless or unlovable?

Let me use this medium to tell you that those thoughts are not true? You do not need to believe everything that you think or feel.

I have heard the saying before that many of us have a prosecutor residing in our heads, and they lack a defense attorney. There is always a prosecutor telling what you are, what you've done wrong, showing you your weaker sides.

My friend, do you know that you can learn to defend yourself against self-condemning thoughts and to feel better about yourself and your life again? It starts with you....I mean YOU.

Many times in my life, I've passed through some situations where I was always at the verge of losing every hope, and suicidal thoughts started creeping in.

The secrets that kept my hope alive till now are those things that am going to share with you here.

These are the things to consider about the action you want to take and reasons why you must not do so:

Killing yourself is never worth it; you’ll hurt both yourself and all the people you care about.

Always know that pain can distort your perception of what’s going on. Feelings of despair can make it seem as though tomorrow is not going to come but tomorrow will eventually come and you might feel differently.

Always understand that there are always other options in life, even if you don’t know what they are.

Life can change around in just a moment. That’s why it is impossible to predict what’s going to happen tonight or tomorrow morning

Always realize that suicidal thoughts often stem from treatable conditions or changeable situations.

Don’t rely on your suicidal thoughts, because suicide is only a permanent solution to a temporary problem. That is why it is a wrong approach to your situation. If you believe, positively a more appropriate solution may arise.

Know that people get through such helpless situations as yours. There are people who felt as bad as you feel right now, in which they got through it. There are people like you who wanted to commit suicide one day woke up the next day with a bright future ahead of them. So if they can get through it, you too can get through this. You don’t have to give up…..not now.

You’re worth more than what you’ve ever thought of. Your survival will make the world better, even if it’s for just one person, or 20 or 100 or more.

You have a purpose to fulfill in life and only YOU could find what it is.

No matter how much or how little, you surely have your life ahead of you.

Until your cloud is full, your rain cannot fall, always have the belief that someday things will work the way you want it. One day your smile will be real.

Always know that having the ability to be sad means that you also have the ability to be happy. It’s good to choose wisely between the two choices.

Never mind what others say about you, always know that you’re gorgeous, amazing and to someone, you’re perfect. Hold on to this mentality.

There are so many people that would miss you, including ME.

Think about all the things you’ve always wanted to do. What about the things you’ve planned, but never got around to doing? You cannot do them when you’re dead…you know!

Get encouraged and encourage yourself to keep on living. A time will come, once you’ve battled the toughest times of your life and are in ease once again, where you will be so glad that you decided to keep on living. You will be surprised that things will keep getting better as you go on in life. And you will emerge stronger from it all.

You ARE worth it. You deserve to live the good life that you want. Don’t let anyone especially yourself, tell you otherwise.

Suicide is one the greatest sins unto God. You are not the owner of your Life; so ending your life committing suicide is a sin unto God. He is the one who gave the Life, and He only has the right to take it anytime.

Sometimes, suicide may seem to be your last option; but the truth is, it is not the right solution.

Imagine you are able to go through this present situation without committing suicide, and things later worked out to the extent that you become a blessing to 500people. Do you know that the dreams of the said amount of people could have been dashed if you’ve ended your life? Think more about this!
