DIFFERENT KINDS OF BEATS IN MUSIC
There are different kinds of beats to different kinds of Music. Talking drum can be used in any kind of beats in any form of Music, especially in Nigeria. It only depends on the creative ability of the Talking drummer to know the kind of Rhythm that fits into any kind of Music.
Talking drum can be used in the indigenous forms of Music like Highlife, Afro, Juju, Fuji, Reggae, Hip–Hop, Jazz etc.



TEMPO OF THE BEAT
This refers to the frequency or rate of speed and timing in any kind of Music. The type or form of Music will determine how fast or slow the tempo will become. Tempo of Juju music is different from that of Highlife; though the tempo of some music is in one way or the other similar to each other e.g. Juju and Fuji Music.
